In an unprecedented move..

Thanks to Caleb for making an appearance on the show last night & answering a few questions we had regarding the anti-core-influenced-metal sentiments that seem prevalent over the internet.

Regarding the Attack Attack! song I played:
'What Happens If I Can't Check My MySpace When We Get There?' from the album "Someday came Suddenly". Also, Attack Attack! are playing a New Zealand show with Pierce the Veil, September 9th at Ellen Melville Hall
We have received a good amount of correspondence, 99% of which is negative the rest/other, judging by the reference to some north American singer called J.Beiber & pop-rap songs, is possibly sarcastic

I played the song as a point of reference, showing (in my mind) the extent to which the (potentially) negative influence 'core (or whatever you would call it) can have on the metal sound. At the outset I had noble intentions, although I did have an agenda to biased listeners in a way that wasn't through the sensible discussions Caleb & I had been undertaking up to that point.

I apologise for using such 'tactics' to push the point across. The song was played out of context & has since been perceived as bad taste- although there was fair warning i.e. I had joked it would make Caleb vomit.

The hfhshow is, of course, pro-metal/hardcore genres in all its forms including metalcore, deathcore and generally other core sounds, so as such stand by the choice to include Attack Attack! in our playlist, but recognise it's placement during the hfhshow broadcast was not appropriate.
