Soundwave 2013

Soundwave, the Australian alternative-music genres festival we`ve grown to admire, or at least want to be at each year, has now had its first 2 official announcements.

So far it features;

• Three out of the big four- I guess Slayer's back to make up for last time (I hope they pack their insect repellent- I'm not trying to be funny on this, there are some nasty Aussie spiders).
• Enough heavy weights to keep the fanboys busy, performing out of the bands that made them big or what they're more known for, in the likes of Tomahawk (feat. Mike Patton), Stone Sour (Corey Taylor), A Perfect Circle (Maynard James Keenan), Kingdom of Sorrow (Jamie Jasta).
•  A good mix of popular names sure to pull broad spectrum crowds and new, young & at times specific genre bands to keep those into what ever the latest thing in metal is, happy.

I think that this is an impressive lineup, but one that unlike last year, that had me gut wrenchingly disappointed that i missed out, I am at peace with the fact that I`ll miss out again in 2013.
