Bulletbelt have been striking fear into New Zealand audiences since 2009. The Wellington ­based band craft tunes that draw from black metal's vicious realms, with traditional metal, torrents of thrash, and biting second ­wave punk all added in, to sharpen the razor.

After eviscerating audiences on nationwide tours, and playing support slots with diverse international acts – including The Black Dahlia Murder, Impiety, Goatwhore, Bolzer, Tragedy, Rotten Sound, Midnight, Municipal Waste, Ringworm, Paul Dianno, Blaze Bayley and Primate – Bulletbelt return with their new record Rise of the Banshee, their first with new vocalist Jolene Tempest.
